GRILLED TOMATOES

My twins started the "big school' this year as Pre-Kinders and I was a little worried when I found out that the school (or level) they are in practices free hand writing. When I was little, I remember starting with short straight lines, slanted, horizontal and vertical and shapes that included circles, half circles, triangles, rectangles, wavy and zigzag dotted lines. But this time when my girls went home with their homework, it said "Sound and copy the letters 3x." without guides or dotted lines. We helped the girls write by holding their hands and showing them how to write them. I would though prefer them writing on their own, practicing the strokes without us having to hold their writing hands. So on to the world wide web I go, searching for templates and found thousands on Google and Pinterest. And I have here my favorites, straight and wavy lines and the letters of the alphabet. I can't remember how long it's been since the last time I wrote an entry. A lot of things have happened in the past months and there really wasn't enough time to write about all the topics I had on my list. Being an adult is difficult. Good but difficult. Being an adult and a parent is much more difficult. But being an adult, a  parent, and an orphan is the hardest. I say orphan since I was always my mother's child. There were things that I had to deal with and I had to be steadfast for my brothers, my hubby, and my children. We're so few in the family and being the eldest, there were responsibilities handed to me and I didn't have much choice but to accept them. But slowly I'm getting my sanity back. Trying to organize my life and everything in it. Managing stress and just letting it creep in sometimes to make me move some more and head on to the next level. There's just so many things I need to do. I don't where to start.

Our twins are turning five this year and  they are starting to have a small understanding of spending and saving. They are still very young and we are doing our best to teach them how to spend wisely and save for the future. And it gets frustrating sometimes when all the coins they saved up are spent on ice cream cones and sundaes. Hehe. They’re off to a big school this year and we’re thinking of giving them their daily or weekly allowance and explain to them how to save properly and introduce them to the money jar technique.  One jar in particular will be called the “Future” and the money that goes in there will be deposited to the bank. After the kids were born we checked several banks in the area and found a proper one suited for us. Our big banks in the Philippines have savings account for minors, 18 years old and below, and they ask for the usual requirements which are 1 valid government issued ID plus the initial deposit.
