Something that I missed is the 5% off on food purchases at McDonald's. The promo has been running for about a year now, and it is extended until the 6th of August this year. Last Sunday, as we were having breakfast in Starbucks, one of the kids kept on asking if we can go for a long ride. Since we were planning to go to Our Lady of Manaoag for sometime now, we dedided to go right then. We left before lunch, sometime 11:00 and reached our destination around 1PM (with one stop-over at MickeyD's for lunch. It was a tolerable drive, not too hot and very light traffic. We headed on straight to church, and we found that parking was a bit of a challenge. We had to park in a vacant lot and paid P60 and walked to church. We intended to pray, pay homage to Our Lady, but it was totally chaotic inside. With people chatting about, taking pictures and selfies. School has started and hubby also started working in a proper office and had to bring lunch and snack to work everyday.  It is quite a challenge having no household help to work with me prepare food for in the morning. They had to leave before 7 in the morning and their food for school and work plus breakfast has to be ready by 6am. This requires me to prepare ahead of time, probably over the weekend, Sunday nights most preferably so the food is still as fresh as much as possible. To make it a little bit more difficult, processed food isn't allowed in school, pastries are allowed though, only once a week. So no easy to cook hotdogs, or ham, and sausages. Classes have started and weeks before we prepared for the requirements. One of them was the Emergency Kit. Since they already had one last year, we just checked the expiration dates of the perishable goods and replaced them. A friend of ours asked where we can buy them, but being the thrifty mom that I am, I chose to assemble one for each of the girls. It seems that after the fire that broke out in our province last year got to me so much that I became a little more anxious or worried about things more than usual. Crossing my fingers that I don't get a disorder, but the obsessive-compulsive in me says to always keep in check. And I usually do, most of the time, now, more often than before. The fire in Boac, smothered into flames three to four blocks of old houses and business establishments, and since the structures were so old, the flames spread out too quickly and engulfed numerous properties. First aid kits should always be well-stocked so you're always ready to face with minor accidents and injuries. It's also a great idea to have one in your car all the time. Many drugstores and supermarkets sell pre-packed kits but you can also make one of your own.  Use a sturdy box, preferably a small plastic container with a handle that can fit the items below. You can use this list if you plan to assemble one: First Aid Kit Contents Bear in mind that opened medicine syrup is must be put in the refrigerator. It is also best to store your kits in a cool dry place and must be kept out of reach of small children. For big emergencies, have this list of hotlines printed and put in your kit as well. Margot Robbie will play as Barbie in a movie that she will also be co-producing. The Australian actress-producer who plays  Harley Quinn  in Suicide Squad and Jane in the movie The Legend of Tarzan closed the deal with Mattel and will be playing as the iconic character in the real-life action film.  The resemblance is uncanny and it's perfect casting for me!
