My 3rd Week of October Barre3 Progress

Image
The instructor wasn't kidding about their #squatfest! :) I love this week's workout, it truly gave me a sense of balance and butt pain. I am very happy that I was able to finish the 60 min workout. I was sort of stressing out that I may not have the energy or my body may not be able to do all exercises but surprisingly I was able to accomplish all of the sets. Happy happy! But we had guests this week and they stayed with us for a couple of days so I didn't get to do one of the recommended 30min work-outs. :(  Still glad though that I'm finding new strength in me. I'm off to start a new week with Barre3 online. Woke up today at 5:30 to exercise but the internet isn't cooperating, so I only managed to pull of the ten-minute workout with a whole lot of buffering. I do hope that I get to do the new set of excercises this week in the afternoon along with my 40 mins walk while the twins nap. Today is their assessment day and sooo we're off to school early.....

My Barre3 Week :)

Happy that I was able to finish all of them :) I am pretty addicted again. It was an on and off relationship with Barre3, but I find that this form of exercise is the best for me. At the end of every workout I would always feel relaxed, peaceful, balanced, stronger and focused. The only times that I would put Barre3 on hold is  when I'm sick, and I noticed that it does happen a lot lately after the girls started schooling. Pre-school is a nest of viruses and bacteria, someone's always got coughs and colds and the twins are bringing them home.  I look forward to next week's exercises, hopefully I find the time to do all of them. This month I also started my daily 30-45min walk on the treadmill, and I am delighted that I already feel that my body and health is already changing. There's less palpitations and chest pains a week after I started all my exercises.

#barre3challenge

Yay! It finally started last week, I have waited for the challenge to begin since I signed up. I'm in love with Barre3 and the wonders it does for my body. I have been doing ten minute exercises in the morning and when I have the time I opt for the 30-40 min workouts. So the challenge is to try one of their recipes every week and do one ten minute exercise and 4 -hour long exercises. During the first week I felt like..... DYING! hahah I was in pain after the first day. Well, honestly I didn't do much exercising during the holidays and I paid for it. =P It's a good kind of pain though. You know their exercises work because you feel it in every inch of your body. And this is one of the reasons why I'm never going back to the gym. Barre3 is more effective, it targets every part of your body. Believe me, I never thought I had muscles in some parts of my body until I started taking Barre3 seriously. To be honest I didn't get to do the 4- hour long exercises for the f...

Barre 3: 7 Day Body Blast

When the "ber" months started we were swamped with events and it won't stop until early next year. Because of these feasting, I was unable to follow my low-carb diet: the Whole30 Program. I felt really great when I was on that program, my chest pains disappeared and the palpitations went away too. I still don't eat a lot of carbs, I try not to, even if my kids constantly ask for carrot and chocolate cakes, I am able to avoid the temptation that stares at me from the fork that I hold to feed the twinnies. After I got better, I slowly went back into cardio exercises using the elliptical instead of running. And I really miss running. I'm so out of shape and I don't think I won't be able to go back until next year. Anywhooo, I have added Barre3 into my daily routine, doing 10 mins a day of this wonderful exercises. I have been an online member and I do see results. It makes me feel amazing whenever I do this at the start of the day and more relaxed when ...

A New Challenge

Wow, I can't believe that it has been awhile since I last posted an entry here. During the past couple of weeks I have been breaking my fast and it is much more difficult that fasting. I am taking eating in slow-mo, making sure that I chew really well, and have limited my food to more greens and veggies. Only recently I have started eating lean meat. Somehow, there's that scary feeling that I migh nd up in the hospital if I go back to my old eating habits. Prior to this, I was eating mostly Italian and Spanish food - who could resist those heavy sauces and cheese? :D Anywho, since then I have kept my weight off, I had my cholesterol checked and from 5.71, I had it down to 4.2 which is now in the healthy range. Hopefully I can work it down to 2 something with my new activities and eating habits. Speaking of activities, I am now back on the elliptical (and the cardio feels great!), and have embarked on a new challenge. I have recently signed up for Barre3 's 28 to Great ...
