The Pros and Cons of Working From Home
Pros:
1. No heavy traffic and no transportation costs.
Saves a lot of time and money. And most especially spares you the stress of dealing with insensitive motorists and being stuck in traffic for hours.
2. You get to be with your child.
Even if you have a nanny, you being at home gets to supervise your nanny. It's also calming to know how accessible you are to your child whenever she needs you.
3. You have the option to eat what's in your fridge.
And that saves you money and putting on more calories from eating fast food. You're in control of the menu at home.
4. The Liberty to Schedule Your Time
There is flexibility on your hands to schedule what needs to be done and prioritize tasks. You decide when to work, run errands, socialize, etc.
Cons:
1. Your child is around you all the time.
Sometimes you need time to finish a project and run errands without them being a "koala." And there are times they do tend to be koalas, wanting to be with you, wanting to be carried all the time making it impossible to do a task.
2. There is no end of work day.
Unless it's time to sleep.
3. The bed is so accessible.
It works to your advantage as well. :) when you're tired you can have a quick shut eye. But there will be times when it just wants you to be there.
4. The TV remote control is visible.
For some reason the remote control is missing during times when you need it. And when you don't, when you decide to work, it's there.
Ugh There are so many temptations at home and you really have to have the discipline and focus to work from the comfort of your abode.
